Rubriken syftar inte på de gassiga utsläpp man får om man äter för mycket ”Bars”, utan det är förkortningen på vårt kära Internationella skidförbund.
Idag hade vi Jan ”Palle” Palander här på besök för att berätta vad som händer och beslutas inom FIS. Årets förändringar var bland annat att man skulle ta bort B-Finalerna i sprint, vilket jag anser som positivt. B-finalerna är bara en onödig transport mot A-finalerna för TV tittaren och för oss aktiva så tycker jag de känns drygt att köra livet ur sig om vem som ska bli sjua i tävlingen och vinna ett heat som ingen bryr sig om.
Men annars är de oftast med frustration man lämnar ett möte som handlat om vad FIS gör med sporten. Det känns oftast som vi aktiva inte har så mycket att säga till om utan att det bara handlar om TV-siffror. Jag förstår att TV siffror är viktigt för att sporten ska växa osv, men ibland känns de tråkigt när man missar saker som gör skidåkning roligt! Till exempel: Individuell start på femmilarna, slippa byta skidor under ett lopp, inte behöva vara ute konstant i världen och aldrig få tävla i Sverige.
Men det är klart, vissa saker har de gjort bra! Tour de ski känns ju som en kul grej och har verkligen fått genomslagskraft! Det är bara det att oftast känns det som att förändringarna kommer för fort, man kankse skulle testa igenom det mera och fundera om de verkligen är en så bra idé…
Jaja, nu ska ta en ”Bar” och tillägna FIS en liten trudilutt! =)
